Kansas Public Radio is thrilled to welcome our newest classical music host, Destiny Ann Mermagen! Following the retirement of long-time Evening Classical host Marcia Higginson, KPR was left without a local nighttime classical music figure. We're so excited to have such a talented musician as Destiny fill this role and join us at the station this Tuesday, November 1, at 7 p.m.

New and Familiar Faces Join the Kansas Public Radio Staff

Last month, we introduced you to our new Membership Director, Max Paley, but Max isn't the only new addition to KPR. We'd also like to welcome our operations coordinator, Colin Halliburton, and someone who may be familiar to some, violinist Destiny Ann Mermagen, the station's newest classical music host!

Colin will assist those visiting the station and anyone who may have questions about KPR. When you call the station you may hear Colin's friendly voice on the other end. Feel free to call in about any questions you may have about the station, and Colin will be sure to help.

Celebrate 70 Years with Kansas Public Radio!

Kansas Public Radio began our first day on the air as KANU on September 15, 1952, and this year we celebrate the 70th anniversary of the station that has brought you the music, news, and entertainment you've known and loved for seven decades. Help us commemorate this special milestone with a year of exciting events! And be sure to check out our new, limited-edition 70th anniversary merchandise in the KPR Online Store at the link here.
