Prisoner Rights Group: Kansas Prisons Unfairly Block Books

A prisoner rights group says the Kansas Department of Corrections unfairly censors publications even with the adoption of a new policy and the elimination of a banned book list.  The Human Rights Defense Center has cited a list of more than 200 books and magazines that administrators have recently blocked.

    Description: This pure beginners lesson is geared for folks who have never touched salsa dancing in their lives. We learn on our feet and start out immediately with learning/hearing the counting followed by basic step, right hand turn, side step, cumbia step, and cross body lead (male) steps. Partner work will be taught after the basic steps, but don’t worry if you’re attending alone! Absolutely no experience or partner is necessary to join in the fun of this salsa dancing lesson. Instructor Laura Ulrich brings a wealth of dancing experience to her fun, accessible classes. Tickets include three free wine samples. Price is per person. Come as early as 6:00 p.m. to enjoy wine before dancing!
