Kansas Swimming Pools Facing Shortage of Qualified Lifeguards

COVID-19 closed most swimming pools and water parks last year, but they’re reopening for the start of a new summer season. That means teams of lifeguards across Kansas will grab their shades, whistles and sunblock and get back to business. But that essential summer workforce is getting harder to find, as Suzanne Perez of the Kansas News Service reports.
